Gustavo Adrian Cerati.
He was a musician, composer, singer, song-writer and producer.
Cerati experimented genres like rock, indie rock, and electronic.
He was born on 11 August 1959 in Buenos Aires Argentina. His paternal family descended from Italians and her maternal family was from Irland; his father was and accountant. Gustavo studied in a catholic school, where he became tracted by art.
At he age of 9 his parents bought him a guitar, he liked. Jimmy Hendrix and the who, and he dreamed at playing a band.
At the age 13 he jained the choir at school and then he formed a trio. He played at house partiesand at his catholic school. His father gave him his first imported guitar, a Gibson.
In 1979 Gustavo Cerati served at the military service. A year later he started university and studied marketing. In that year he mes Hector "Zeta" Bosio and became fan of The Police, The Beatles and Elvis Costello.
In 1982 he formed Soda Stereo with "Zeta" Bosio (in bass) and Charly Alberti (drums). Cerati was leas vocale and guitarist. They released lots of albums, in 1985 "Nada Personal" with pop hit singles "Cuando Pase El Temblor" and year later "Signos". In 1988 they released "Doble Vida" and year after that "Cancion Animal". In 1997 he released his last album with "Soda Stereo"; "Confort Y Musica Para Volar".
Between 1990 and 2010 he had great success in his solo career with his hits "Me Veras Volver","11 Episodios Sinfónicos","Siempre Es Hoy", "Ahí Vamos"(2006)
His awards were seven Gardel Awawards, Antorcha de Oro (Golden Torch) and Gaviota de Plata (Silver Seaguil) at Viña del Mar International song festival and three gammies.
On 15 May 2010 he suffered a severe stroke after a perfimance on Caracas. He faell into a coma and stayed in hospital for four years. On 4 September 2014 he died from respiratory arrest and was buried at La Chacarita Cemetery in Buenos Aires.
